Week #9 update

All platform downloads (Windows, Linux and macOS) have been updated. There were two reasons for this; an issue with scoreboards that caused the game to crash and a couple of minor bugs that made some puzzles unsolvable.

A name in parenthesis and in bold is the finder of the bug/quirk. Thanks to all, I really do appreciate your time and support. Cheers!


  • when using the adjust settings tool (pliers) the setting value no longer disappears when the bomb helper is drawn
  • increased transparency of grid (CTRL/COMMAND+G) to be less obtrusive
  • added transparency to object links


  • runners can no longer leap off a ladder into a monk - this matches the Original (Howie)
  • Climb through walls quirk added
  • fixed bug that prevented players from grabbing monkey bars (George)
  • fixed bug that could cause wrong tile settings to be read when objects are dropped in front of exit doors
  • fixed You can't use that here quirk not allowing bombs to be dropped on ladders when quirks mode is disabled (Howie)


  • fixed bug in content manager that created invalid textures
  • fixed bug that crashed the game when verifying scoreboard (Adam, Ali)

Bugs being worked on

  • some keyboard bindings swapping automatically to other keys (Trevor)
  • bomb timings don't match the Original (Trevor)

What I'll probably do next week

  • input predication (web games)
  • monk hump 'n bump improvements
